I stumbled into this safe space as the resistance of the verge became too much. The verge, the cusp, my renaissance was too much. My feet were frozen in complacency now. Then, as track 2 played, tears streamed down my face as if my own tears were creating these sounds. I felt grounded and free in the most balanced way. I felt safe. Safe to feel. Safe to feel love. Safe to feel pain. Safe to exist exactly as I am. This album is like an invitation to fully breathe. So I breathe. Thank you.

Like the best ambient artists from Eno to Glass, you can lose yourself in the music entirely, or put it on as background to enhance mental focus on something else, like reading, meditation, or prayer. Parallax & Gospel Rails exemplify his further musical progress in both these listening experiences and I highly recommend them.
